Driven: Logitech G240 Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad
Logi-whaaa?
Logitech mouse pad comes in 2 flavours.
G440 is a hard surface mouse pad,
and we’re not gonna talk about that (cause I don’t have it.. yet) and G240 is a
cloth surface mouse pad (this is what we’re gonna talk about).
So.. the G240.
The width for this is 34cm and
the length is 28cm. What’s amazing about this mouse pad is the thickness. Official
tech specs say its 1mm, which beats the Razer Kabuto measuring 1.27mm (not sure
if there’s any other thinner mouse pad but yeah)! Yeah okay probably we won’t
be able to feel the difference but still impressive nevertheless.
That’s it? It’s just only.. thin?
When I first got to know about
the mouse pad I was pretty excited, until a friend said that Logitech might
just be slapping their brand on some cheapo OEM mouse pads. Well, if they
really did that, they probably found some high quality mats manufacturer cause
it just feels damn good. The sides are all nicely trimmed, the surface is silky
smooth and the rubber base is sticky as hell.
Yay?
It performs like how any cloth
mats would perform, only thinner and silkier. I remember when I first got my
XtracPad Ripper XXL back at 2007, and damn it was smooth and thin (bought it
used and not as thin as the G240) and after so many years (I’ve retired it,
using it in the office) it’s still so smooth. Then I’m using my brother’s Steel
Series QCK+.
Nay?
Small. That’s the only issue I
have with this mouse pad. I’m so used to HUGE real estate and adjusting back to
smaller one takes time (ugh). Hopefully Logitech makes a bigger mat. That would
be super amazing! Verdict?
Like all other peripherals, I guess it goes down to how much you like Logitech products. If you truly appreciate the thinness and the silkiness while forgoing large size mouse mats, then this might be the product for you.
