In An Alternate Google Reality
The morning rays illuminate the else dark room. You stir. Through the blur you see your clock turn seven. You put on your glasses, and immediately a series of numbers and words appear just slightly above your right eyesight. E-mails, tweets, status updates and your day's appointments. Short, but adequate.
You roll out of bed and hit the shower. Then you head on to the breakfast table for coffee and toast, while awakening your Nexus 7 to read feeds and news from Currents. The door bell rings. You open the door to find a postman delivering your brand new Moto X. He's a hardworking fella, you thought. Feeling excited you pull your SIM out of your old phone, plug it into the Moto X and turn it on. After you key in your Google account, the phone immediately syncs all your contacts and e-mails. It also imports the entire Home Screen from your GS4. Your new phone instantly feels yours, filled with your photos and songs.
It's time to catch up on the few missed episodes of House of Cards. You turn on your TV. With ChromeCast you play Netflix from your Nexus 7 and project it to your TV. True HD glory. As you sink into the seat you grab the Chromebook Pixel, flip it open to check on some collaboration documents you and Steve (no relation whatsoever to the late icon) have been working on. He's with his family at the beach halfway across the world and you feel bad to have to have him work on this project now, but at least he can still do it by the sands.
You get a message from Pam asking if you'd like to go for lunch. You reply, by voice, that you will pick her up. But you forgot where she lives so you ask her for her address. Keying it into Maps triggers a Door-to-Door navigation that appears on the HUD in your Glass.
Getting into the car automatically pairs your Glass with your car GPS and transfers the directions to your car GPS. On your way there you ask Glass to suggest nice restaurants nearby, and you make a reservation, all by voice. You flip open the Chromebook Pixel to check if there are any updates on your Drive document from Steve. The car drives itself, following your GPS directions, to your desired destination. You pass a street and notice the most beautifully restored Vespa parked by the road. You take a photo of it and send it to your brother, just by giving voice commands to your Glass.
The day went well and you're glad you spent some good time with Pam. You unwind just now back on the living hall couch. You remember Pam telling you about this awesome song called Sister Song by Perfume Genius. You reach out to your Nexus 7 and search for it via YouTube. It was good. You decide to buy the entire album from the Play Store.
While listening to the songs you get a ping on your Google+. Your family requests for a Hangout. You accept and it plays live on your living room TV. Your brother talks about the Vespa photo you sent him earlier, your sister shows everyone the handbag she got yesterday and your mom tells everyone she's going for another holiday trip soon.
Google Now reminds you suddenly that you have a plane to catch tomorrow morning. Trying to remind yourself why you signed up for tomorrow's trip, you said: " Okay, Google. Search Images of Ama Dablam." A series of the most beautiful photos pop up on your TV screen. All psyched up, you're ready to take on the trip.
